MAU Workforce Solutions celebrated the newly expanded MAU Skill School with a grand reopening celebration on November 9, 2017 in Greer, South Carolina. Skill School serves as a solution to help close the growing skills gap in the Upstate. The 22,500 square-foot facility is equipped with powered industrial vehicles to train the upcoming workforce.
About 75 people came out for the Skill School’s re-opening to hear from Brian White, District 6 Representative and Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, and Rita Allison, District 36 Representative and Chairman of the House Education and Public Works Committee.
The facility will provide training that will improve safety, competency, and job readiness for new hires in the workforce. To date, the MAU Skill School has trained 2,000 people to send into the workforce.
