Are You Prepared? OSHA’s New Reporting Requirements
November 8, 2017 6:21:53 PM

Today is November 8OSHA New Record Keeping Requirement Day!  Okay… This isn’t actually a recognized holiday and I much prefer Thanksgiving Day, which is thankfully not far behind. However, changes have been made so are you prepared for OSHA’s new record keeping requirements?  I hope so, because OSHA is requiring you to submit 2016 data electronically.

Many hoped that a newly appointed Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA would backpedal this requirement along with a few others with a flurry of executive orders but President Trump may have nominated Mr. Mugno too late to issue any such orders.  That said, we all have to be informed and comply.  Here is what you need to know.  If you have 250 or more employees, are currently required to keep OSHA injury and illness records or are classified in certain industries with historically high injury rates you must electronically submit your 2016 logs to OSHA.

Get that 2016 file ready because OSHA set up a website along with helpful instructions to guide you along to happy electronic reporting. Click below to visit their page and you will find all the information you need. Best of luck and happy OSHA New Record Keeping Requirement Day!
