The data and statistics don’t lie, and they tell a very compelling story as to how dangerous distracted driving can be. According to the Department of Transportation, out of around 2.5 million car accidents in the United States each year, over 1.6 million of those involve the use of a cell phone. In 2012, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that over 421,000 individuals were injured in accidents involving a distracted driver.
From our families and friends, to our employees and those we work with every day, it is important to be aware of how people view distracted driving and encourage ways to driving with less distraction. At MAU, we were curious as to how our own employees felt about the topic so we asked.
Check out the SlideShare below to see how the MAU team responded, plus get 5 tips to share with your own employees (or family!) on how to be a more focused, and more importantly, safe driver.
